Escape from Death Hole is a dungeon-crawler submitted to js13kGames 2022, themed "Death." The setup gives the death theme a narrative spine: the player falls down a sewer into the dark catacombs beneath a rich medieval city, where an underground accident has trapped tourists. To make matters worse, the catacombs are infested with the un-DEATH — and if they catch you, you transform into one of them.

The game spans ten levels, each requiring you to find a key to unlock the mechanism that lets you progress deeper toward the exit. This key-hunt structure gives every level a clear objective and turns exploration into purposeful navigation rather than wandering.
